Cabergoline
Cabergoline is used to treat abnormal or elevated levels of prolactin in the human body. This happens when the pituatary gland produces irregular or extra prolactin. High prolactin levels may be caused by a hormone problem or by a tumor in the pituitary gland. High prolactin levels can be problematic by causing changes in a woman’s ovulation, menstrual cycle, and breast milk production. In men, high prolactin levels can affect reproduction and cause sexual issues. These issues include a decreased sex drive and erectile dysfunction. Cabergoline is a popular bodybuilding aid as prolactin suppression allows for greater testosterone production.
